Valley View Kiwanis is excited to announce that we have officially launched the BUG (Bring Up Grades) program in the Valley View Elementary School. This program focuses on helping Kids learn to set goals and achieve them. Student in the 4th Grade and the Dual language 3rd Graders were invited to participate. Students who achieve their goals each 6 weeks, will be able to attend a party provided by our Club to celebrate. This program is offered to the Students and the School at no cost.
Clothing Drives
Our club has held clothing drives to ensure that the Kids of Valley View have the clothing needed for school or inclement weather.
Our Back to School Shoe Drive for the residents in our community who were affected by the May 25th tornado was a huge success. Over 50 kids received a BRAND NEW pair of shoes to start off the school year! We could not have made this happen without the help of all of our sponsors, the generous donation from the Denton Noon Kiwanis Club, and members of our community that chose to adopt a kiddo or family!
We conducted a coat drive in Fall of 2023. We were able to gather 52 coats, between collecting donations and allocating raised funds, to donate to Valley View ISD.
Playground
One of the main goals for the founding members of our club was to update the playground in our community. We have already completed the initial designs for the playground and received the support of the Valley View City Council to begin raising funds to complete this project. If you or your business is interested in making a donation to make this dream come true, please email us at [email protected].

This morning our Club President, Ashley Collett, had the privilege of kicking off the B.U.G Program for its second year by presenting to the fourth grade kiddos at Valley View ISD! ๐ฆ This year we also invited the owner of Lone Oak RV Ranch & Retreat, Brian Manhart, to speak with the kids providing an uplifting and encouraging start to their goal setting!
Be sure to ask your child about their B.U.G goals and look for more information that will be coming home soon!๐
